| The genesis of Delhi public school (DPS)
dates back to 1941 when the school embarked upon its long journey first
as church high school, then to Naveen Bharat school in 1947 and finally
at Matura road in 1949
The birth of a new nation in 1947 also saw the emergence of a new era,
a place where the future of a great nation was being envisioned, where
the young minds of that day were moulded from silly putty to a formidable
force in nation building.
This day after more than 55 years and over 120 schools through out India
and abroad DPS is probably the only school in the country with such credentials
to its name.
No other School in the history of the country has such a glorious past
and hope for the future. Who else can stand testimony to this great institution
than its thousands of students, alma matter and numerous satisfied parents
over the years.
The school has produced luminaries in every walk of life. Be it politics,
beauracracy, sports or any other field. Dipsites have made their presence
felt.
